The 15th edition of the Manager of the Year competition has officialy finished. Awards and distinctions are given to managers whose daily work builds the economic potential of companies, which translates into an increase in the wealth of the region and its inhabitants. This is a unique competition, because its Jury thoroughly assesses not only the economic and financial achievements of managers in a given year, but also their involvement in the affairs of local communities.

This all makes the Statuettes of Manager of the Year of the Lodz Region an exceptionally prestigious award. This year, one of them was awarded to zMr. Karol Szmich – the President of Delia Cosmetics.

“The measure of a manager is the employees he surrounds himself with. Therefore, this award is more for our employees. Thank you very much. You are the best!” – admitted Karol Szmich, during the 15th Gala of the Manager of the Year.

The unique title was awarded to the President for his innovativeness in action, modern approach to business and pro-ecological solutions that are constantly successful on the Polish and international arena. However, what resonated the most at the gala was the fact that behind the success of the company are the people who create it.

“I would also like to thank my parents who believed in me and handed over the reins of the company“. During his speech, Mr. Szmich emphasized an extremely important element of Delia’s activity – its family character. It remains the main pillar of the company, which allows employees to have a real impact on its functioning, have freedom of action, and fully use their potential and capabilities.
